リップル加工とは、シアサッカー生地に似せたプリント加工の事。塩縮液を使って生地に凹凸感とハリ感を与えています。
筆で書いたような柄のことを「刷毛目」と呼称しています。素朴で優しい感じに見えます。
Ripple Loan, Brushstroke Print
This is a cotton fabric popular in midsummer, made of a 60-count cotton loan (about the same thickness as Liberty print) with a ripple finish to give it an uneven appearance.
The ripple process is a printing process similar to that of seersucker fabric. A salt shrinking solution is used to give the fabric an uneven texture and bounce.
The pattern that looks like it was written with a brush is called "brush marks. It looks rustic and gentle.
