ラミーリネン　ラメ杢　タンブラーウォッシュ [W6730A]

麻の種類は太くて硬い麻袋や麻縄に使うジュート（黄麻）、最も多く流通している柔らかい風合いになるリネン（亜麻）、ハリ感がありシャリッシャリなラミー（苧麻）、リネンに似ているヘンプ（大麻）などがあります。

今回はラミーとリネンを約半分ずつ使って平織りに織っている生地になります。

ラミーリネンの糸にシルバーのラメ糸を絡ませて双糸にしてから織っているので、シャンブレーの様にも見えます。

このナチュラルなリネンの生成り色とシルバーのラメ糸のチラ見せがなんとも涼し気です。生地表面に出てくるのではなくて、生地の屈折による角度で見える感覚なので上品なイメージ。

僕はこのくらいのラメの見え方なら、洋服全体に使っていただいても口説くなくて良いかと思います。

＊麻の独特の風合いを生かし多少の織りムラやネップなどございますが麻糸を紡ぐときに出来る自然な物です。


Ramie Linen Lame Mokumoku Tumbler Wash [W6730A]

There are various types of hemp, including jute (yellow hemp), which is used for thick, hard hemp bags and ropes; linen (flax), which is the most widely used and has a soft texture; ramie (boehmeria), which has a crisp texture; and hemp (cannabis), which is similar to linen.

This fabric is woven in a plain weave using approximately equal parts ramie and linen.

The ramie-linen yarn is twisted with silver lamé yarn to create a two-ply yarn before weaving, giving it a chambray-like appearance.

The natural off-white color of the linen and the subtle glimpse of silver lamé yarn create a refreshingly cool vibe. The lamé is not visible on the surface of the fabric but rather appears through the fabric's refraction at certain angles, giving it an elegant feel.

I think this level of lamé visibility would be suitable for use throughout an entire garment without being too flashy.

*To bring out the unique texture of hemp, there may be slight irregularities in the weave and neps, but these are natural occurrences that occur when spinning hemp yarn.

50% linen, 50% ramie
