コットンの無地で作品を作ったのに色落ちや経年劣化によって洋服の雰囲気が変わってしまうことありませんか？

mittelの押しているコットンとナイロンを絶妙なバランス感覚で織り込んだギャバジン織り（綾織）になります。

高密度ハリ感をもたせて織ってあり、そこに柔軟洗いをかけ更に特殊加工でドライタッチの強い洗いざらしの雰囲気に仕上げてあります。

お色目はネイビーとロイヤルブルーの中間色。明るめのネイビーといった印象で、ネイビーがお好きな方にチャレンジしていただきたいお色。

実際にこの生地でパンツを作ってみました。↓

私：可児が毎日のように着用していますが、コットンだけでなく強度や摩耗に強く色あせにくいナイロンを使うことによって洗いざらしの雰囲気ドライタッチが長続きします。最初生地の風合いが硬いかな？と思ったのですが3回位洗濯機で洗うと馴染んで柔らかく良い風合いになります。コットン100％だと朝着てパリッとしているけど夕方に柔らかくなるパンツと違い、洗いざらしが長続きしています。

Mittel's gabardine weave (twill weave) is a perfect balance of cotton and nylon.

It is woven with a high-density bounciness, then softly washed and specially processed to give it a strong dry touch and a washed atmosphere.

The color is between navy and royal blue. It has an impression of bright navy, and is a color we would like those who like navy to try.

We actually made pants with this fabric.

I: Kani wears it everyday. By using not only cotton but also nylon, which is strong and resistant to abrasion and fading, the washed atmosphere and dry touch lasts longer. At first I thought the texture of the fabric might be stiff. But after washing in the washing machine for about 3 times, it becomes softer and better. Unlike pants made of 100% cotton, which are crispy when worn in the morning but soften in the evening, the washed feel is long-lasting.

今回の生地も綾織。使い続けることで変化していきます。高密度ではないので柔らかく縫製し易いと思います。

サロペット・パンツ・スカートなどに最適です。

色はアイボリー色より甘くないバニラベージュ・夏のキャメル色のブラウンベージュ・スミクロと少しブラウンを足したような色エボイニーの3色です。

This is a 20 count cotton twill made of cotton yarn with less fluff.

Twill weave fabrics have a tendency to soften in texture with use. Denim is one example.

This fabric is also twill weave. It will change as you continue to use it. It is not high density, so it is soft and easy to sew.

今回作ったのはリネン100ではなくてコットンとリネンにしました。
海外で活躍中のメーカーさんのご依頼で、今年のコレクション向けに1年前から8番手などの太番手リネンでパンツやジャケットを作るプロジェクトに参加しておりました。

これがリネン100％で太番手で圧縮して作った生地がメチャメチャかっこいい！雰囲気があって長年着てもへこたれない厚手で良い生地でした。

が、重い。

リネンの重さはコットンより重いので出来上がった反物を担ぐと殺人級の重さでした。もちろん、洋服になっても重い。「飾っておくならいいけどねぇ〜」とクライアント。

これはあかん！となりました。

厚みや生地面は理想。でも重い。ここで同じ様な厚みであの洗いざらしの風合いで透けない感じができないものか？と。

で、比重の軽いコットンを入れてオックスフォード織りで仕上げることにたどり着きました。ぜひ、僕達の実店舗で身体に当ててもらいたいです。

無垢な糸を使ったんで綿花のカス（黒っぽい）のが入っています。もちろん生地染にもお使いいただけます。

＊麻の独特の風合いを生かし多少の織りムラやネップなどございますが麻糸を紡ぐときに出来る自然な物です。

[ORIGINAL] Oxford Cotton Linen [STAS6000]
I'm sorry, but I can't help enjoying making fabric.

This time, I used cotton and linen instead of 100% linen.
At the request of a manufacturer active overseas, I participated in a project to make pants and jackets from thick 8-count linen for this year's collection, which started a year ago.

The fabric made from 100% linen, thick yarn, and compressed was absolutely stunning! It had a great atmosphere and was a thick, durable fabric that would hold up well over the years.

But it was heavy.

Linen is heavier than cotton, so carrying the finished fabric was murderously heavy. Of course, the finished clothing was also heavy. “It’s fine if you just want to display it,” the client said.

This won’t work!

The thickness and texture were ideal, but it was too heavy. We wondered if we could achieve the same thickness with that washed-out feel without the transparency.

We eventually settled on using lightweight cotton and finishing it with an Oxford weave. We would love for you to try it on at our physical store.

Since we used pure cotton yarn, there are some cotton seeds (dark-colored) in the fabric. Of course, it can also be used for fabric dyeing.

多分このお値段ではもうでません。

生地の厚みは5ミリ程度になります。コートなどにオススメですが、インテリアファブリックやバックなどに流用できると思います。

やはり、シルエットや縫い目の綺麗さを表現するためにも布に「コシ」が必要です。

今回の生地はコットン100％だけで織ったビエラではなく、ほんの少しだけウール（ウール15％）を入れて、「コシ」を出しながら、しなやかさを両立した生地に仕上がりました。

ウールのチクチク感は余り無くてブラウス、特にパフスリーブの様なボリューム感、生地の分量感が多めのデザインに軽くて最適だと思います。

The fabric needs to be firm in order to express the silhouette and the cleanness of the seams.

This time, the fabric is not a 100% cotton woven Viyella, but a little bit of wool (15% wool) has been added to create a fabric that has both "firmness" and suppleness.

The wool does not have a prickly feel and is light and ideal for blouses, especially those with a lot of volume and fabric, such as puff sleeves.

Wool plain weave (tropical) of about 60 count. Stretchable in the horizontal direction.

This weft. The core is made of stretch yarn (polyurethane), polyester around it, and wool yarn on top of it, so it is a good point that the fabric does not easily stretch out in the horizontal direction.

Cotton-Linen Nép Stretch Glen Check [W71016A]

This is a glen check fabric featuring abundant linen nép.

It has a lovely homespun feel that can’t be achieved with wool or polyester.

It’s made from cotton and linen with a small amount of spandex. However, it’s not a fabric that stretches out excessively.

I don’t think it’s a problem at all that this type of fabric doesn’t stretch. It’s perfect for designing loose-fitting pants or tops.

This glen check pattern pairs perfectly with indigo denim. I highly recommend it.

At first glance, it may look like a polyester fabric. We are pleased to introduce a broadcloth made by Thomas Mason (U.K.) that is so shiny and supple that it could be mistaken for a polyester fabric at first glance.

The raw materials and spinning process of cotton are excellent, and the yarn itself is smooth. By using a yarn with little fluff, the beating (the length and width in the weaving direction of the fabric is tight) is firm, so the fabric has a very high quality feel along with its firmness and luster.

This fabric is often used for custom-made men's wear and can be used for many years to come. It has a very nice wrinkled feel, so you can wash it and wear it, or you can use it elegantly with cleaning specifications. I am sure that the shape of the collar part of the shirt will come out beautifully.

Judging by the colour, you might expect it to be more like a top, but the crisp finish gives it a crisp, paper-like texture. That said, it doesn’t feel stiff.

A stiff finish is known as a ‘hard finish’—in the context of a shirt, this would be like applying starch so heavily that you might wonder, ‘Could you lean it against a wall?’ This is completely different from that.

The advantage of this springy finish is that, unlike silk, it does not drape closely to the body, so it does not emphasise the silhouette of your figure. Even with a generously cut design, I believe it will create a ‘just right’ silhouette. It has been treated to ensure it is not see-through.

Originally, rayon was made from natural fibre pulp (trees), and acetic acid was used to produce a fabric with a silky sheen and a feeling of falling, as well as moisture absorbency and quick-drying properties.

This time, among acetates, it is a thick acetate that can be used for outerwear such as jackets, trousers and skirts.

The fabric is dyed using a dyeing method called "liquid flow dyeing", in which dyeing solution is sprayed in the form of a jet and the fabric is circulated in a water stream (liquid flow), which allows natural wrinkles to be created and gives the fabric a vintage feel.

特に、「薄くて軽くて丈夫」と三拍子揃った（三拍子って英語でなに？）品質は、ナイロンが一番かと思います。 デニールは数字が小さいほど糸が細くなってゆきます。（天然繊維の番手は逆）ナイロンの30デニールなどは、プロの登山家が使う超軽量（テントで1ｋｇなど）のテントテントで1ｋｇなど）やシュラフ・ハンモックなどにも使われます。

今回のご紹介の生地は30デニールより細番手の20デニールの平織り生地。 生地が薄くて、丈夫で、すごく軽い。そして超撥水のナイロンです。シャカシャカの音がしにくい風合いで、ふわっと軽い素材です。 パーカーくらいの容量でコーヒーカップに入る容積です。持ち運びに便利かと思います。

We always talk about yarn counts of natural fibers, but this time we will talk about synthetic fibers.

Fibers made from naphtha (petroleum-based) such as nylon and polyester are not counted by yarn count, but by denier. (For details, please search for "denier").

Nylon is the best in terms of quality, especially when it comes to the triple-quadruple-qualities of being thin, lightweight, and strong (what's that in English?). I think nylon is the best in terms of quality. The smaller the denier number, the finer the yarn. (The opposite is true for natural fibers.) Nylon fabrics such as 30 denier are used for ultra-lightweight (e.g., 1 kg for a tent, 1 kg for a tent, etc.) used by professional climbers, as well as for shrugs and hammocks.

The fabric is woven from two strands of sized (glued) threads that are drawn together and bio-washed, so it is thicker but softer.

It has a thin canvas-like texture. The same power loom used for selvedge denim is used to increase the fabric density.

It is woven neatly with about six different coloured yarns and is used for bags that are not washed in order to keep the weave beautiful.

After weaving with deep indigo yarn, it undergoes a bio + bleach finish.

The slight polyester content is the key.

この生地はもともとメンズのトレンチコートを作るバシッとした硬い風合いの生地でした。

しかし、クタクタになるまで加工工場で生地を洗い込んだ後クタクタ感とハリ感を両立した風合いに変化させて仕上げました。

この風合いになると、コットン１００％だけのチノクロスでは味わえない高級感とカジュアル感の両立ができると考えたからです。

ウールでしかできないネイビーやカーキの濃い色合いも含めて楽しんでいただければと思います。

Imagine that 60 count cotton yarn is the thickness of the yarn used for Liberty prints. The fabric woven with this yarn in a high-density plain weave (Liberty also uses plain weave) is called 60-count typewriter (weatherproof).

Since the texture is like paper just by weaving with high density, we give it a firmer wash afterwards to express a vintage-like grainy texture. The result is a material that is bulky, silky, and resilient.

Due to the nature of the processing, there may be uneven wrinkles, biting and slouching in some parts of the fabric. Please be aware of this when using the product.

Stone + Bio-Wash Stretch Denim [3520K]

We’ve created a denim that ventures into uncharted territory.

This is a 9-ounce denim that has undergone both stone wash and bio-wash treatments simultaneously.

While stone wash techniques vary, this time we used round, ball-shaped stones.

This results in a clean, polished finish—which is usually where it ends. However, because we also applied the bio-wash treatment, the fabric has become remarkably soft.

It has the texture of denim that’s been worn for several years, yet the color hasn’t faded—that’s the effect we’ve achieved.

Since it’s 9-ounce, it’s a lightweight denim. It has excellent stretch, making it perfect for those who prefer a light, comfortable feel in their pants and jackets.

* Please note that indigo dye is used, so please avoid washing this item with white garments to prevent color transfer.
