反対語ではないのですが、近いものでトップ糸という糸があります。この糸は原毛の色で白と黒を混ぜ合わせながら1本で撚る糸になります。良く言う「チャコールグレー」がこの糸を使っています。

どちらの糸も綿もあればウールもあります。

今回の使っている糸は撚り杢糸。つぶつぶ感がクローズアップされて独特雰囲気が演出できています。

生地の風合いは少し厚めウールフラノで、シェフパンツなどのゆったりとしたパンツや、コート、スカート・ジャケットなどに適しています。

生地の厚みは1〜2mm程です。

今回はアセテートの中でもジャケットなどのアウターやパンツ・スカートなどにも使える厚地のアセテート。

生地の染め方は染液をジェット状に吹きつけ、水流（液流）に乗せて生地も循環させながら染色をする「液流染色」という染色法で行っているため、ナチュラルなシワを作ることができ、ヴィンテージ感のある生地に仕上がっています。

ポリエステルサテンの様な平面のテカテカした感じの生地ではなく、洗い上がってシワが入ったサテンのイメージ。

カジュアルに着れるエレガントな生地です。

Natural fibres are often cited as environmentally friendly materials, but this fabric is made from acetate, a 'semi-scientific fibre', an intermediate material between natural fibres and synthetic fibres (such as polyester and nylon), which is the opposite of natural fibres.

Originally, rayon was made from natural fibre pulp (trees), and acetic acid was used to produce a fabric with a silky sheen and a feeling of falling, as well as moisture absorbency and quick-drying properties.

This time, among acetates, it is a thick acetate that can be used for outerwear such as jackets, trousers and skirts.

The fabric is dyed using a dyeing method called "liquid flow dyeing", in which dyeing solution is sprayed in the form of a jet and the fabric is circulated in a water stream (liquid flow), which allows natural wrinkles to be created and gives the fabric a vintage feel.

It is not a flat, shiny fabric like polyester satin, but a washed and wrinkled satin image.

トレンチコート程度の風合いなので、パンツやスカートなどにも使えそうです。

メルトンと言っても本当に風合いや厚み・重さ共に様々。この生地は固くなくウールモッサの様です。

今回のメルトンは生地を作る製法がメルトンという意味で、柔らかく落ち感で定評のウールモッサとPコートに適した風合いのメルトンとの中間の風合いと厚み・重さを表現した生地になります。

ウール生地を圧縮・縮絨するには、モンゴルのゲルのようにウール100％が必須。この生地もウールでできていて縮絨してあります。かと言ってウールモッサのように柔らかく仕上げていますので、コシがあるのに生地目が詰まって温かく柔らかい織物になっています。

とても仕立て映えがする生地かと思いますので、コートやジャケットにおすすめ生地になります。

最初硬ッ！と思うかもしれませんが、この風合いでOKなんです。経年劣化で良い風合いに仕上がってゆくデニムの様な扱いをしていただけると幸いです。

There are many different ideas about fabrics for white shirts, but when it comes to broadcloth, I think 100 count twin yarn is ideal.

The firm cotton yarn (combed yarn) is made by twisting two twisted yarns, which is only possible with 100 count extra-long cotton. The natural luster of broadcloth woven with this combed yarn and the wrinkled feel after washing are the difference between ordinary broadcloth woven with a single yarn such as No. 40 or No. 50 and Untei, and it does not easily lose its shape and the wrinkled feel is not sloppy. In addition, it is treated with a shrink-proofing process called Shrunk Processing and finished with a silken finish.

During this era, fabric widths were limited to 90–92 cm. Since only thick polyester fabrics could be produced at the time, this is a non-see-through twill weave. No lining is needed.

Of course, as it is hand-printed, the reverse side of the fabric shows the seams where the print was applied, giving the fabric a unique character.

*　生地にワックスオイルを染み込ませてあるのでベタつきますが、使っていく間に自然にオイルが徐々に取れてきて、色目が明るくなってゆきます。また、シワが入ったり負荷がかかった部分にチョークマーク（白線）などが現れます。オイルが徐々に落ちていき、チョークマークが入ることによって素敵な素材感が現れます。オイル生地を育てていくといった観点でご購入されることをお勧めいたします。

This fabric is woven in a method called "French twill," which clearly shows ridges in the diagonal direction.

Compared to plain weave, French twill has a more elegant sheen. In order to suppress this luster to a moderate level, the fibers are gently beaten and loosened by a process called C.C Finish, which removes the fluff from the linen while maintaining the luster, resulting in a texture that is less translucent.

French Linen is used as the raw material. The entire process from weaving to processing is done in Japan.

In the past, 80-count cotton lawn made from Indian cotton, which was woven and dyed by hand, was popular and famous for its soft, fluffy texture. However, it often had many weaving defects and sometimes even sand in it (perhaps from being bleached in the Ganges River?), making it difficult to sell in Japan.

 

Now, thanks to the skilled hands of Japanese weaving and dyeing professionals, we have created a fabric that rivals Indian 80s cotton lawn in terms of texture and density, making it less transparent and cooler than linen fabric.

 

Please feel free to touch and experience it for yourself. It is truly soothing.

This time, we are also offering spandex rib knit, which is used for cuffs and collars on sweatshirts and similar garments. Spandex rib knit is knitted using cotton yarn and polyurethane yarn (elastic yarn), resulting in a fabric with high kickback (stretch). We recommend using it in combination.

コットンの原料・紡績の工程が素晴らしく、糸自体がツルッとしています。毛羽の少ない糸を使うことによって打ち込み（生地の織り方向の縦と横が詰まっている）がしっかりとしていますので、コシがあり光沢と共に高級感がとてもあります。

At first glance, it may look like a polyester fabric. We are pleased to introduce a broadcloth made in Italy by MONTI, which is so shiny and supple that it could be mistaken for a polyester fabric at first glance.

The raw materials and spinning process of cotton are excellent, and the yarn itself is smooth. By using a yarn with little fluff, the beating (the length and width in the weaving direction of the fabric is tight) is firm, so the fabric has a very high quality feel with firmness and luster.

The stripe pattern is woven with 6mm white and 15mm sky blue colored yarns.

This fabric is often used for custom-made men's wear, and we think it is a fabric that can be used for many years to come. It has a very nice wrinkled feel, so you can wash it and wear it, or you can use it elegantly with cleaning specifications. A stiff finish is known as a ‘hard finish’—in the context of a shirt, this would be like applying starch so heavily that you might wonder, ‘Could you lean it against a wall?’ This is completely different from that.

The advantage of this springy finish is that, unlike silk, it does not drape closely to the body, so it does not emphasise the silhouette of your figure. Even with a generously cut design, I believe it will create a ‘just right’ silhouette. It has been treated to ensure it is not see-through.

そうです。羽毛布団の素材として織った綿織物が最初ではないかと感じています。

さて、今回はタテ糸にブラック糸、ヨコ糸にホワイト糸のコットンを高密度で織った織物で、４０番手くらいのタイプライタークロス。

パリッパリに仕上がっています。このパリパリを利用したデザインにオススメです。

Typewriter fabric is a cotton fabric woven in a high-density plain weave using cotton yarn.

I seem to recall that, until about 30 years ago, typewriter fabric was called “down-proof.”
Since it’s woven at a high density, the term “down-proof” meant it would keep down (feathers) from escaping.
That’s right. I believe it was originally woven as a material for down comforters.

Now, this fabric is a high-density type of typewriter cloth—approximately 40-count—woven with black cotton warp threads and white cotton weft threads.

It has a crisp, stiff finish. I recommend using this crisp texture in your designs.

This fabric is a blend of cotton—about the same thickness as sheeting—and raw silk, woven in a plain weave.

40 Ramie & Linen Damaged Dyed Wash

This is not 100% linen, but a linen fabric with about half ramie.

The characteristic of this fabric is the bounciness of the ramie.

100% linen (flax) is cool, but it has the characteristic of becoming crumbly after repeated wear.
Ramie (ramie) is a yarn with more elasticity than ramie. Ramie (Ramie hemp) has a more elastic yarn than ramie, and is characterized by its bounciness, or crispy texture.

The fabric is woven using the best parts of both yarns.

Color: Kinari KN is a chambray type. The warp is off-white and the weft is raw.

この生地を使う人にとって喜んでもらえるには？と考えていたら、以外に洋服用に買っていかれるお客様が続出。

私達Nuno Mittelは生地の風合いを変化させるノウハウがあるので、生地の目を詰めながらストーンウォッシュをして、柔らかい・毛羽立ちの少ない・生地目の詰まった透けにくい生地に変化させました。

僕の使っているリネンのランチョンマットは最初はピンッとしてきれいなんですが、おこちゃまなんでこぼしたりして洗濯するとガーンんて縮んでしまってみすぼらしい風合いに。ならば先にある程度縮めてしまったら？ということにしました。

洋服に至ってはサロペットやスカートやパンツなどに◎

14番手リネン。良く流通しているのは25番手。それよりも少しだけ厚手となります。

I often have this problem, too, but when I look at a picture of the fabric on my phone and purchase it, it has a "very hard texture".

I think there are some people who have experienced that the texture of the fabric is different from what they expected when they actually receive it because of the picture on the internet! I am sure some of you have experienced this.

This time, when I purchased the fabric, I found it to be "extremely hard! I also experienced the same thing. It seems to be a vintage fabric that could be used for interior decorations such as luncheon mats.

Now, "What should I do with it?" I was surprised to find that the fabric had a very stiff texture.

How can I make this fabric more appealing to the people who will use it? I was thinking, "How can I make the people who use this fabric happy?

We at Nuno Mittel have the know-how to change the texture of fabrics, so we stonewashed the fabric while filling in the grain of the fabric to make it softer, less fuzzy, and more tightly packed and less transparent.

My linen luncheon mats start out nice and crisp, but when I wash them after spilling something on them because I'm a little kid, they shrink and look shabby. So, I decided to shrink it to some extent first. So I decided to shrink it to some extent first.

このポリエステルコーデュロイはポリエステルのビンテージ加工が非常に定評のある福井県の工場で染色・加工をした商品になります。

特に風合いは厚ぼったい印象にならずにドレープ性に富んでいます。コットンの場合、8ウェールのコーデュロイの場合、使い初めはハリ感が残り着ぶくれした印象になることもありますが、こちらの生地はキレイなシルエットが出ると思います。

品質はポリエステル。シワになりにくく車のシートに座った後も気にならないくらい。この時期デイリーに使っていただきたい生地です。
